This tour gives you a fascinating insight into the real culture of Chile and a chance to experience and amaze yourself in its impressive nature.

Tour Details

Day 1 Arrival Santiago
Transferred to the hotel, where you can relax in the afternoon or explore the city. In the evening you will enjoy a mouth watering mail and taste some fine Chilean wine.

Day 2 Remembrance Tour
Today we will start with the Remembrance tour, which will give you an historical and political insight into the past 35 years of Santiago and Chile.

Day 3 Trekking Rio Clarillo and Concha y Toro
Leaving early in Santiago and drive to the Río Clarillo National Reserve; surrounded by beautiful mountains and woods. We will set out on a gentle walk, amazed by native flora and fauna. After we will drive to the next stop, Concha y Toro; the biggest and most important wine exporter in Chile. You will have the chance to sample some of the fine wines before driving back to Santiago.

Day 4 Valparaiso
Today you will go along the ´route de vinos´ to UNESCO Valparaiso; also known as ´the jewel of the Pacific´. We will ride a funicular up into the hills to get amazed by the spectacular views of the port and the city. We will also visit the port, the financial district, the squares, variety of monuments and the Central Market, where you can taste the typical Chilean seafood cuisine before heading back to Santiago and catching our flight to Temuco.

Day 5 Temuco – The Mapuche
You will get picked up by a bilingual guide, and you will lead towards Carahue. Today you will have the chance to learn more about the indigenous culture and history of Chile. After, you will see a big collection of handicrafts and articles of the Mapuche culture that is still kept. Going to a small fishing harbour where we enjoy a delicious lunch before going back to Temuco.

Day 6 – 8 Mocha Island
You will visit and explore this tiny Island, unknown by Chileans and tourists. A local guide will takes us on a trip around the Island by jeep. The rest of the day is yours, with optional activities as diving, trekking through national reserve, a trip through the countryside to enjoy the island and beaches from a different perspective. On day 8 we will fly to Pucón, where you will have time to explore the city and the lake.

Day 9 Trek Huerquehue
We will enjoy a short trek in one of the most beautiful national parks, passing through millenary trees, along hidden trails with astonishing view. We will enjoy our lunch while watching the views, before heading back to Pucón.

Day 10 Free day Pucon
This day is free to choose your own activity, with opportunities for renting a mountain bike to explore the country side, horse-riding through the native forest or leave early in the morning and trek up to the crater of the Villarica volcano and see the sunrise.

Day 11 Puerto Varas
Early in the morning you will get transferred to Puerto Varas, and you will join a typical Chilean restaurant for lunch. After you will head to downtown and discover the beauty of this lakeside city.

Day 12 Trekking Volcano Osorno
Today it is time to face another volcano, by hiking through the hills and join the magic views of the lake Llanquihue. After we will travel through amazing scenery to the riverside lodge, where we will have a delicious local dinner, and where we will spend the night.

Day 13 The Pioneer Trail
After local breakfast our horses are waiting for us. After an instruction you are ready to set off and we will ride along the rio Cochamo into the Valdivian rainforest, where you will have a picnic. In the afternoon you will arrive at the Mountain Lodge in La Junta, where you will have a typical Chilean barbeque.

Day 14

Day 15 The Pioneer Trail
Waking up by the sounds of the birds and the sun shining in your face, you will have breakfast on the balcony of the rustic lodge, before riding back to the riverside lodge.

Day 16 Back to Santiago
Unfortunately, this incredible trip has come to an end. You can choose to go fly back to Santiago, or you have the opportunity to extent your trip to Patagonia, Atacama or Isla de Pascua…
