Located at the end of Cajón del Maipo, El Morado is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in the Metropolitan Region.Our horses will be waiting for us when we arrive and after a short introduction and safety brief, we will set off. Our ride will take us up an Andean valley where in spring hundreds of flowers bloom. After a short ride uphill we will arrive at the lake, which has been formed the glacier’s melt waters. We can get quite close to the glacier and admire the incredible landscapes of the majestic Andes range.
Before returning to Santiago we will stop for a while in the small village of San José de Maipo to enjoy a tasty empanada, a typical Chilean speciality which we are sure you will love. It will be a gentle ride uphill lasting approximately 2 hours to reach the lake and then an hour more to reach the glacier after which we will return to the lake where we will have lunch. After lunch we will start our ride back to Baños Morales which will take about two hours.
