One of the most mysterious places on earth, Easter Island and its famous Moai have been the subject of centuries of debate and numerous theories ranging from the practical to the extreme (Extra-terrestrial influence).

Formed millions of years ago by huge eruptions of undersea volcanoes, the island sits in the middle of the pacific ocean 2000km from the nearest land, due to its isolation the island was inhabited only by seabirds and dragon flies until around 1300 years ago when some weary seafarers landed on its shores, the Rapa Nui civilization flourished on the then lush forested island and began to engage in the carving of the Moai until the islands natural resources became diminished changing the environment irreversibly to the baron and eerie land that it is now.
